About Us

Phillip and Cissy Brown opened Brown's Country Restaurant in the summer of 1973.  Our first menu consisted of made-to-order breakfasts, sandwiches, and a luncheon special of beans and cornbread. One year later we introduced a ten foot long buffet that offered six items with a small salad bar.  A full house seated twenty-six people, who were served by three employees.

Since 1974, we have made a lot of changes.  Our buffet is now over 100 feet long and offers over 150 selections for lunch and dinner.  Our staff of three has grown to over 50, whose main goal is to provide our customers with friendly and courteous service.  Our restaurant, which started with only 2,000 square feet has been expanded to over 13,000 square feet.  We have four private dining rooms for parties, family get-togethers, business and club meetings.

Our two-story gift shop offers a large variety of collectibles, handcrafted quilts, greeting cards, souvenirs, and seasonal giftware.  Our candy shop features over twelve varieties of homemade cream and butter fudge and we hand-dip over 30 varieties of chocolates.  We also have a large variety of hard candies and salt-water taffy perfect for any sweet tooth.
